Role: Senior Azure Cloud Engineer/Senior Azure Cloud Architect – Hybrid, Leeds – Global Digital Consultancy – Azure, AWS, Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes – PERM – £75K-£100K plus bonus and benefits

I am currently working with a well-known Global Digital Consultancy who are looking for someone to take ownership of their Azure platform and Site Reliability in a new global Digital Transformation project. This is a really interesting project for the right person to help transform and shape the Cloud Technology within the business.

Required experience of the Senior Azure Cloud Engineer/Senior Azure Cloud Architect:

• Expert knowledge of cloud offerings and practices in Azure including cloud architecture and systems design.
• Commercial experience in scoping and delivering complex infrastructure and delivery pipeline solutions at scale.
• Proven ability to articulate complex technical designs and requirements to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience of delivering end-to-end cloud solutions using technologies and practices such as: Azure DevOps, GitHub, IaaS, PaaS, Docker, Kubernetes and Serverless.
• Expertise in DevOps theory and an ability to explain the theory and approaches to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Input into the design of, and own the implementation of, cloud infrastructure.
• Be directly responsible for the implementation of the CI/CD toolchain.
• Find delivery bottlenecks and areas for performance improvements.
• Perform tasks related to Site Reliability Engineering and other infrastructure/pipeline work as needed to support the overarching Systems team effort.
• Work closely with technical leads to ensure that platforms are designed for continuous delivery and zero downtime.
• Quickly identify trends and patterns, and drive out root causes of complex technical problems, in order to design and implement appropriate solutions
• Understanding of using application lifecycle management tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub
• Hands-on Software engineering experience would be beneficial with one or more programming (e.g. Python, Go, Bash, Powershell, Javascript, Java, C#)
