A specialist paediatric respiratory service was founded by Professor John Price at King's College Hospital. It helped to pioneer the development of the specialty in the UK. The current Paediatric Respiratory and Cystic Fibrosis Centre in the Variety Children's Hospital at King's College Hospital provides a secondary and tertiary referral service for children with complex lung disease and cystic fibrosis (CF) mainly, though not exclusively, in South East London, Kent and Sussex. We are a comprehensive tertiary paediatric respiratory service providing a full diagnostic service, management of children with chronic respiratory conditions, inpatient management of children with acute respiratory conditions and respiratory consultations to other services in the hospital. We are the specialist CF Centre for the region.

The post will be based at the Kings College Hospital on the Denmark Hill site and this will be reviewed within 3 months of the post holder commencing in post. All employees are expected to undertake work on any of the Trusts sites as required by the service. As an employee of the Trust you will work in close co-operation with, and support other clinical, medical professional and managerial colleagues in providing high quality healthcare to the Trusts patients.
