This is a rewarding and interesting permanent role, where you will manage our UK & Lloyd’s Energy claims across multiple jurisdictions. We are open to cross-training the right candidate if they come from a Liability/Casualty background.

You will be responsible for supporting the Energy offering by providing superior claims handling service on business written from the UK, ensuring technical and quality service levels are met. You will drive files to resolution to achieve the best possible outcomes for AXA XL and its clients.

You will be a critical advisor to Underwriters and Risk Consulting regarding trends you are seeing within claims. You will work with our Underwriters and Wording team to ensure insights and trends identified from your claims role are incorporated to ensure the best solution for our clients.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

1. Manage a portfolio of claims, including trend identification and reporting, oversight of large losses, and problem-solving key issues.
2. Manage a strategic relationship with brokers, clients, actuaries, and underwriters.
3. Support underwriting teams in connection with claim trends and business development.
4. Review, evaluate and manage external vendor relationships.
5. Maintain necessary reporting and controls to ensure robust governance.
6. Drive a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
7. Manage litigation strategy on largest/complex claims.
8. Project manage key initiatives within product line and execute within agreed timescales.
9. Provide superior customer service to policyholders and brokers.

You will report to the Energy Claims Manager.

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

1. Significant knowledge of Liability Claims.
2. Working knowledge of Lloyd’s minimum standards and regulations (desired but not essential).
3. Experience influencing and leading the Market.
4. Knowledge of legal entities and global claims handling.
5. Adaptability to learn other product lines.
