Our global EPC client currently has an opportunity for either a Principal or Senior Civil Engineer to work on a carbon capture project currently at FEED stage but moving into EPC stage shortly in their West London office.

Role Overview

• Deliver high-quality civil engineering services that meet all applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
• Initiate, manage, and supervise civil engineering project requirements.
• Participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports, and follow required checking procedures.
• Ensure project scope is clear and changes comply with project change management processes.
• Provide assistance and advice during procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
• Act as the civil engineering Lead on specific projects if required.
• Outline project requirements and actively promote workshare within the team.
• Ensure all services meet applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, on time and within budget.
• Proactively resolve any discrepancies between the client and their customer's requirements.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in civil engineering.
• Assist and support junior personnel within the civil engineering team.
• Communicate effectively with the team and project stakeholders, including the Customer.
• Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.

Skills & Qualifications

• Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills with a track record of consistently delivering quality work.
• Sound knowledge of fundamental requirements of civil engineering, including underground facilities, roads, pavements, and earthworks.
• Familiarity with applicable local (UK) and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in civil engineering-specific software and relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
• Substantial technical and practical experience in civil engineering in the same or similar industry, including working on multi-disciplinary projects and teams.

Education & Experience

• Required: Recognised and relevant Civil engineering degree.
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status.
• Relevant postgraduate qualifications in engineering, management, project management, or supervisory qualifications or equivalent.
