Required for our client, a well-established and close team based on the edge of the Ashdown Forest. The Senior Civil Engineer will be working for a company that has over 85% of repeat business and a strong pipeline of work. The Civil Engineer will be working on projects over £200m in value across Healthcare, Commercial, Retail, Heritage, and the Leisure sectors.

Senior Civil Engineer Position Remuneration

1. Salary up to £55k
2. 26 days holiday + 8 BH
3. Birthday Leave

7. Hybrid Working: 2 days per week at home

Senior Civil Engineer Position Overview

The responsibilities include:

1. Technical designs for both new build and refurbishment projects
2. Lead the team to undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes
3. Preparation of reports, e.g., Flood Risk and Drainage Assessments, Transport Assessments
4. Preparation of technical specifications
5. Civil engineering Masterplanning
6. Civil engineering design development, e.g., roads, drainage, building regulations approvals, Sections 38 /104 /278
7. Ability to challenge designs and resolve problems to a conclusion
8. Ensure quality control and question whether carbon footprint can be reduced within design
9. Attend design team meetings and site visits

Senior Civil Engineer Position Requirements

1. Degree Qualified within Civil Engineering or a similar discipline
2. Chartered, or currently approaching chartered status with the ICE
3. Experience in leading a design team
4. Technically strong in civil engineering
5. Experience with SUDs design, from concept through to implementation
6. Must have AutoCAD and Microdrainage/Infodrainage, and ideally Civils 3D
7. Experience within highways, public realm, and the civil engineering industry
8. Produce designs following CDM regulations
9. Knowledge of BIM processes
10. Over 7 years' experience in infrastructure design
11. Full UK Driving Licence
