Role: Senior Civil Engineer
Location: Central Cambridge
Type: Full Time, Hybrid/Flexible, Permanent.

We're looking for a Senior Civil Engineer in Central Cambridge!

The Civil Engineering Team in the home counties region has evolved into one of the most well-established and respected teams in the district.

The projects undertaken by the team can be divided into approx. 80% domestic large-scale residential and mixed-use developments up to 3,000 homes, city centre redevelopments, shopping centres, hospitals and waterfronts, and 20% international major developments, including at Neom in Saudi Arabia, in the United States, and in Pakistan. The international workstream is continuously increasing and a very exciting area of growth for the business.

Role Purpose & Responsibilities:
Through gaining an illustrious reputation for project delivery, there is no shortage of work for the team, who have become too busy and require additional technical assistance.

The new requisition for a Senior Civil Engineer is desired to help oversee technical project delivery, and assist with commercial undertakings including:

1. Project ownership of works in relation to drainage design, flood risk, pavement design and highways.
2. Review all technical submissions from planning applications to detailed design, including flood risk assessments, highways design, pavement design and detailed on-site construction design elements.
3. Help organise CPD's and internal training sessions with the team.

Requirements:

1. Thorough technical understanding of the design of roads and pavement, drainage, earthworks and utilities.
2. Commercial understanding of the consulting civil engineering environment.
3. Knowledge of engineering software, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Site3D, MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage, Causeway Flow, KTF, or PDS.
