This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to further their career in the industry. This is a new office within a well-established consultancy that is looking to organically grow. You would be an integral number two to the Director, helping to facilitate that growth. More specifically:

• Manage clients, projects, and commercials.
• Liaising with Local Planning Authorities.
• Taking the reins on projects and progressing into leadership roles.
• Help guide and mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge and experience.
• Oversee designs to ensure they meet standards, regulations, and client needs.
• Manage resources, schedules, and deliverables to keep projects running smoothly.
• Build strong relationships with clients and external contacts like contractors and councils.
• Ensure work complies with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Check and review project work to maintain high quality and resolve issues early.
• Support bids and tenders with technical input and cost estimates.
• Look for opportunities to grow the business through new projects or relationships.

You will be set on a great career trajectory, you'll be number 2 to the Director in a new office, with fantastic exposure into further management positions. You will have

To be successful as a Senior/Principal Civil Engineer, you will have a healthy mix of the following:

• Ideally 5+ years UK experience in a senior role.
• Ideally 6+ years UK experience with experience in a principal position.
• Highway design experience, dealing with Section 278 / 38.
• Drainage design, dealing with Section 104.
• Previous experience managing clients and expectations.
• Experience dealing with local planning authorities.
• Good commercial acumen.
