Senior Civil Engineer

Senior Civil Engineer Job Overview

1. Apply design standards such as British Standards, DMRB, and Sewerage Sector Guidance to deliver client projects.
2. Ensure compliance with internal QMS procedures and design checking protocols.
3. Coordinate with professionals and contractors to deliver projects on time.
4. Manage smaller projects independently or contribute to larger schemes as part of a team.
5. Deliver projects within agreed timescales and budgets.
6. Collaborate with other company offices and disciplines.
7. Supervise trial hole investigations and conduct visual inspections as needed.
8. Mentor junior engineers to support their development.
9. Liaise with clients and design teams to meet project briefs, attending meetings as required.
10. Engage in business development and contribute to fee proposals.
11. Assist in managing design projects, ensuring commercial success and timely delivery.

Senior Civil Engineer Job Requirements

1. Degree within a Civil Engineering Discipline.
2. 5+ years working within a consultancy.
3. Chartered member of the ICE or working towards.
4. Good knowledge of all relevant British Standards and Design Codes.
5. Experience of hand calculation or using design software.
6. Have a sound grasp of engineering principles.
7. Understanding of technical design packages including Civil 3D, InfoDrainage, etc.
8. Full UK driving licence with own car.

Senior Civil Engineer Salary & Benefits

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (dependent on experience)
