Senior Change and Communications Manager

Contract type: 6-month contract, with extension likely

Location: London, Hybrid, 3 days a week on site

Day rate: £650 Inside IR35

Altum Consulting is partnering with a global media company who are seeking an experienced change communications professional to lead the development and execution of impactful communications that support the company's strategic finance transformation initiatives and operational changes. This role will play a crucial part in aligning the business, leaders and stakeholders.

Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to create and execute change management and communication strategies that drive successful business transformations. You will ensure key stakeholders, including business leaders and impacted employees, are engaged, informed, and supported throughout change initiatives. A key element of this role is cross-team collaboration, particularly with the Change Communication and Project Management Center of Excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop change management and communication strategies to support initiatives
  • Assess organisational readiness and deliver necessary interventions
  • Engage stakeholders with transparent, clear, and compelling communications
  • Provide strategic counsel to senior leadership on best practices in change management
  • Foster relationships with influencers across and outside the organisation
  • Use storytelling to communicate transformation goals and success points
  • Tailor change management plans to specific needs of different audiences
  • Collaborate with other programs to reduce the impact of change on individuals and teams
  • Manage complex stakeholder relationships to ensure alignment and minimise risks
  • Communicate operational changes in a way that is business-relevant, clear, and engaging
  • Work with a range of business areas to ensure activities are coordinated and integrated
  • Track key communication metrics and adjust strategies as needed
  • Support additional projects as assigned

Knowledge & Skills

  • Proven experience with operational model changes and business adoption tools
  • Experience working on a global finance transformation
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and storytelling skills
  • Experience using internal digital channels effectively
  • Ability to analyse and measure communication effectiveness
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proactive, personable, and adaptable

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in transformation communications within a global, matrixed organisation
  • Proven experience with large-scale organisational change and global campaigns
  • Experience in target operating model, process, and/or technology changes
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and manage stakeholders

Desired Characteristics

  • Formal change management and communications training
  • Finance experience
