Job Role:

Scottish Huntington’s Association is seeking to recruit a suitably experienced Senior Admin and Human Resource Officer to join our central services team. This role involves offering guidance and support to the organisation while ensuring that both the physical and virtual working environments and processes meet the needs of the wider team.

Reporting to the Head of Income Generation and Administration, you will play a key role in developing and implementing strategies related to HR, health and safety, ICT, data management, and office administration.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure the effective operation and upkeep of office facilities and equipment.
  • Develop and revise HR policies in accordance with legislation, providing clear communication to staff.
  • Offer HR guidance to managers and colleagues to ensure compliance.
  • Manage all activities related to the employee lifecycle, including planning, recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding.
  • Oversee DBS and PVG requests.
  • Coordinate Learning & Development initiatives and train managers on HR topics.
  • Promote employee wellbeing through wellness initiatives and oversee occupational health issues.
  • Use research and data analysis to drive informed decision-making.
  • Support the Senior Leadership Team with change projects and consultations.
  • Create and maintain various HR documentation, including reports and guides.

Additional information:

Proficiency in English communication is required, as is evidence of your eligibility to work in the UK.

You will need to be available to work from our registered national office a minimum of three full days each week, situated at Business First, Burnbrae Road, Paisley PA1 2FB. For the rest of your working week, you will have the option to work from home. Additionally, occasional travel to various locations in Scotland may be necessary for departmental and organisation-wide meetings.

In addition to a competitive salary, we offer benefits including a generous leave allowance totalling 37 days. Upon 4 completed years of service, you will receive an extra day for each completed year up to a maximum of 5 days, and the opportunity to opt into our competitive pension scheme.
