Job description

Procurement Heads are excited to be working with a major European snack company who are looking for a Category Manager to manage CAPEX and MRO categories across UK sites.


You'll lead supplier negotiations, support engineering teams, develop category strategies, and ensure cost-effective procurement across multiple countries.


Location: Slough/Nottingham/Leicestershire/Middlesbrough/South Yorkshire/Herefordshire/Leicestershire/Wakefield/Tanfield/East Staffordshire - Hybrid 3 days a week


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement CAPEX & MRO procurement strategies
  2. Manage supplier relationships and negotiate high-value contracts
  3. Support project execution (e.g., installations, FAT/SAT phases)
  4. Collaborate with EU procurement and Engineering teams
  5. Analyse complex data for decision-making and savings tracking
  6. Ensure compliance, sustainability, and supply security

Requirements:
  1. Degree in Engineering or related field (CIPS preferred)
  2. 4+ years in procurement, ideally within engineering
  3. Experience in contract management, CAPEX projects, and stakeholder engagement
  4. Strong Excel/Word skills; valid driving license
