Senior Care Assistant - Required at Ferrars Hall Care Home in Huntingdon, Part of The Country Court Family

Hours: Days, 45 Hours per week, working weekends on rota (Shift Times 06:45 - 19:00)

Ferrars Hall Care Home in Huntingdon provides residential and specialist dementia care in luxurious & beautiful surroundings. The amazing staff led by Susan the Manager provide a safe, supportive & sociable environment for the residents to live in.

ABOUT THE SENIOR CARE ASSISTANT ROLE

Within your role as a Senior Care Assistant, you can really make a difference to our residents' lives. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Aiding residents emotional well-being and social needs.
  • Administration and monitoring of medications to residents.
  • Supporting residents at meals time.
  • Mentor & assist new employees.
  • Implement, monitor and review care plans to meet residents specific needs.
  • Plan, allocate & supervise the work of the team of care assistants.

ABOUT YOU

We want someone proactive, passionate, and ambitious to support us to create the best person-centred environment for our residents. You'll be genuinely valued and empowered as an integral part of our team.

  • Experience as a Senior Care Assistant & leading a team.
  • Have a friendly & caring attitude.
  • Experience of administrating medication.
  • Able to engage well with the residents and their families.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social care or willing to work towards this.
  • Great communication skills, both written & verbal.
