Senior Cardiac CT Rotational Radiographer

Job Description: Senior Cardiac CT Rotational Radiographer at Nuffield Health St Bartholomew's Hospital | Permanent | Full Time | Up to £50,000 per annum, dependent on experience | 37.5 hours per week

Main Duties of the Job

• Deliver a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a varied caseload.
• Be highly proficient in the use of all equipment within scope of practice.
• Work with leading practitioners and cutting-edge practices, equipment and facilities.
• Supervise and develop junior colleagues.
• Aware of MRI safety in line with local rules.
• Work within IRMER and own scope of practice, in accordance with the code of conduct set out by the HCPC.
• Participate in departmental audits and Quality Assurance programme.
• Provide support to the Clinical Lead Radiographers.
• Ensure equipment is safe and fit for purpose and report faults in line with Nuffield Health policy.
• Competency in IV cannulation is essential.
• Provide input to the review, update and implementation of departmental policy and procedural changes.
• Comply with all Nuffield Health policies and procedures.
• Ensure all records are maintained in line with statutory and organisational requirements.
• Participate in General x-ray.
• Participate in on-call rota (must be able to attend site within one hour of call activation).

About Us

Nuffield Health Barts Hospital is the City of London's only independent hospital, situated next to St Bartholomew's NHS hospital. This is our flagship center for cardiac services and provides a full range of surgical and medical services, including orthopaedics, oncology, general surgery, gynecology, and urology services. Our hospital consists of 55 beds, including 7 specialist intensive care beds, four advanced digital operating theatres, an Endoscopy and minor ops theatre, 28 consultation rooms, a cardiac catheterisation lab, an Oncology Day unit, and a full diagnostic imaging suite including MRI, CT, ultrasound, mammography, and general X-ray.

Qualifications

• BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent).
• A postgraduate qualification and/or high levels of technical knowledge (desirable).

Experience

• Experience in a wide variety of CT scans including cardiac.
