Senior CAD Technician / Digital Designer - Water Sector

We have an opportunity for a Senior CAD Technician to join our team - specialising in major projects within the water sector. This role can be based from either our Warrington or Manchester offices with hybrid working allowing for a mix of in-office and home-working (usual pattern for full time employees is 3 days in office / 2 days from home).

As a Senior CAD Technician you will work as part of our well respected Digital Design team - working alongside highly skilled Technicians and Engineers to deliver some of the most technically complex and exciting major projects across the Water sector. You will be working with a variety of 3D and 2D software – including Civil 3D and Revit – and will offer mentoring and training to more junior colleagues on how to most effectively use CAD software.

Duties will include:

1. Preparing project drawings and BIM models, understanding, interpreting, and implementing local client CAD standards and BIM data requirements.
2. Collaborating with engineers, consultants and technicians from multiple disciplines.
3. Responsible for managing regional workload plans; establishing and maintaining delivery deadlines.
4. Developing and mentoring local Digital Design teams.
5. Working within Common Data Environments.

About you

You will have prior experience working as a CAD Technician, Senior CAD Technician, or similar digital delivery role - ideally with experience of working within the water sectors. In addition you will be able to demonstrate that you have:

1. Experience of working to develop design deliverables in collaboration with multi-discipline design team members.
2. Worked in Common Data Environments using Data Management Systems such as BIM360 and ProjectWise.
3. Used 3D CAD software such as Civil 3D or Revit.
4. The ability to organise your workload across multiple projects.
5. A willingness to mentor less experienced colleagues.
