Senior CAD Technician

First People Solutions is looking to speak with Senior CAD Technicians in the Glasgow area who are open to new opportunities. We are working with a multi-disciplinary consulting engineer, known for their rich history of engineering and design across the UK. They are involved in a range of sectors such as Residential, Leisure, Education, Justice, Utilities and many more.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil Technician with strong leadership skills seeking a step up, or for a Senior Technician eager to engage in diverse, impactful projects across multiple sectors.

As a Senior Technician, you will bring your technical expertise to support the design and development of civil infrastructure projects. This includes preparing detailed drawings and models, while working closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to bring project plans to life. You'll also play an active role in training and mentoring team members, helping them enhance their skills in drafting, design, and software applications.

What we need from you:

1. HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent
2. 4-6 years of experience working within a design engineering environment in the UK
3. Experience confidently mentoring and overseeing a team of Technicians
4. Confident in producing accurate drawings and ensuring drawings meet industry standards
5. Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D
