Senior CAD Technician

Full-time, office-based with occasional site visits - 8am - 4pm

Competitive – based on experience – up to £45,000 per annum

Job Purpose:

Our client is a leading British manufacturer of bespoke joinery. Due to continued expansion, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior CAD Technician to join our dynamic team in Stourbridge.

This fast-paced role is predominantly office-based, with occasional site visits for surveys. The ideal candidate will have:

1. Expertise in AutoCAD (gained through a recognised institution)
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel & Word)
3. Knowledge of Sage 50 Accounting (advantageous)
4. Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
5. Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation
6. A valid UK driving licence (essential for site visits)

Day-to-Day Duties:

1. Maintain & update drawing files & documentation
2. Create detailed working drawings for design & manufacturing
3. Manage multiple projects simultaneously
4. Work closely with the team to meet project requirements
5. Attend site surveys to measure, estimate & assess resources
6. Engage with clients professionally & effectively
7. Ensure compliance with industry regulations & company standards
8. Participate in project meetings to understand technical needs
9. Apply knowledge of Health & Safety regulations (on-site & in manufacturing)
10. Liaise with contractors to ensure smooth project execution
11. Maintain a professional image with clients & colleagues

Essential Skills:

1. Advanced AutoCAD skills
2. Strong Microsoft Office knowledge
3. Excellent attention to detail & high work standards
4. Ability to prioritise & multi-task effectively
5. Clear & professional communication skills
6. Full UK driving licence (essential for site visits)

Desirable Skills:

1. Knowledge of Sage 50 Accounting
2. Experience in Health & Safety regulations
3. Previous experience liaising with contractors
