Location: Hybrid - London Office (3/4 days)

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000

About the Role

EVEREC is recruiting on behalf of a well-known Charge Point Operator for a skilled Senior/CAD Designer/Technician to join their team and play a crucial role in the development of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across the UK. In this role, you will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to design and implement efficient, functional, and visually appealing EV charging sites. Your expertise in CAD software and construction principles will be essential in delivering high-quality designs and installations.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead site layout design for both LV and HV connected EV charging locations.

- Create indicative layout/planning drawings to support project proposals.

- Develop detailed construction drawings and maintain accurate as-built records.

- Work closely with the executive team and senior leadership to establish company-wide location specifications and design standards.

- Ensure all designs comply with relevant regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.

- Collaborate with project managers and field engineers to ensure seamless site installations.

- Manage and update design documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

- Proven experience as a CAD Designer/Technician, ideally in EV site designs.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software.

- Strong understanding of electrical infrastructure and construction principles related to EV charging sites.

- Experience working with LV and HV electrical layouts.

- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to liaise with various stakeholders.

- Knowledge of UK planning regulations and construction industry standards is an advantage.
