Senior CAD Designer

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior CAD Designer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the design and development of cutting-edge insulated and refrigerated conversion solutions for panel vans. You will collaborate with engineers, project managers, and production teams to create detailed CAD drawings, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive CAD designs and technical drawings for insulated and refrigerated van conversions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective design solutions.
• Conduct design reviews and provide feedback to ensure compliance with industry standards and company specifications.
• Utilise advanced CAD software to create 3D models and simulations, optimising designs for performance and manufacturability.
• Mentor and provide guidance to existing CAD designers, fostering a culture of learning and innovation within the team.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, materials, and technologies to incorporate best practices into designs.
• Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including specifications, reports, and presentation materials.

Qualifications:

• A background in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in CAD design, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor) with a strong portfolio of previous work.
• Solid understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering principles relevant to insulated and refrigerated systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
