Senior C# Developer

A software development company based in Sheffield is looking for several Lead / Senior Software Developers who are experienced in working with Web, Desktop, and Cloud technology in the .NET and Azure ecosystems to expand the existing development teams.

Some current examples of the technologies they use for certain systems are listed below. However, their aim is to continually evolve their technology base to take advantage of more efficient development tools, processes, and practices.

1. C#, WPF, Azure Storage, Azure Functions, ASP.NET Core MVC & Web API.
2. C#, ASP.NET Core, Azure Functions, Blazor, SignalR, and Bootstrap.
3. Electronic Log Books system using C# and WPF, with cloud components using Azure Functions, Service Bus, Cosmos DB and ASP.NET Web API.
4. C#, .NET Core, Skia.
5. WPF, Azure SQL, WebJobs, ASP.NET MVC, Azure Storage (Blob + Queue).
6. Backend management systems using C#, ASP.NET Core, Azure SQL, including .NET Core Web APIs for B2B services.
7. C#, ASP.NET Core Web APIs, Azure Storage, Cosmos DB.

The company has a roadmap for the development of existing and new products and services planned. They are looking for people with strong software development skills who can take responsibility and lead areas within this roadmap. This will require strong skills in software design, UX, and Architecture. Being able to show evidence of working with high-level specifications to discover and define detailed requirements in previous roles is valuable.

In addition, the ability to shape and drive development processes within the overall company practices - for example, in the area of DevOps and CI/CD for cloud systems – will be favorable.

Underpinning these leadership skills is the need for excellent communication, team-working, and interpersonal skills.
