Senior Buyer - Strategic Sourcing
Belfast | £35,000 - £40,000 | Hybrid | 36-Hour Week
VANRATH are delighted to be partnering with a leading aerospace manufacturer seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to join their Strategic Sourcing Team on a temporary basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced procurement environment, negotiating contracts and driving cost-saving initiatives.
Hybrid working model
36-hour week (with a half-day Friday)

- Lead sourcing, commercial, and contractual activities across multiple commodities
- Negotiate supplier contracts to ensure continuity and cost optimisation
- Issue and manage requests for proposals (RFPs)
- Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships
- Oversee cost management and contractual compliance
- Ensure ERP/MRP systems are accurately maintained
- HNC in a business-related subject or relevant professional qualification (CPIM, CIPS)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in procurement/sourcing (or 3 years with lesser qualifications)
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems
