As a Senior Buyer at Screwfix, you’ll be at the heart of shaping the future of one of our core categories. You’ll drive category strategy, making decisions that will steer growth, boost margins, and ensure we’re always offering customers the best products at unbeatable value. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on big challenges and loves seeing their ideas come to life in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

We believe that a hybrid, flexible working approach offers you – and your colleagues – the best of both worlds. Face-to-face collaboration is an integral part of our warm, friendly culture, so you’ll work from our head office three days a week, working flexibly around our core working hours of 10am-3pm. Beyond that, how, when and where you work is up to you. With a subsidised canteen, free parking and a comfortable, relaxed environment, we’ve worked hard to build an office you’ll want to work in. We also know that, when it comes to school pick-ups and home deliveries, it’s nice to have the flexibility to do both.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Define and deliver cutting-edge category plans that drive growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
• Innovation & Trends: Stay ahead of market trends and lead game-changing strategies that set us apart from competitors.
• Collaboration & Negotiation: Build winning relationships with suppliers and internal teams, securing the best deals and innovative products.
• Team Empowerment: Lead, inspire, and develop your team to achieve ambitious targets while promoting a culture of growth and innovation.

Qualifications

What You Bring:

• Proven experience as a Buyer, Category Manager, or similar, with a track record of delivering growth.
• Sharp commercial acumen and the ability to turn insights into action.
• Experience leading product range, pricing, and promotional strategies.
• Strong leadership skills with a passion for developing talent and driving team success.
• A strategic mindset with a love for innovation and staying ahead of the curve.
