Job Description

Are you a proactive Senior Buyer with a 'can-do' attitude and a passion for procurement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? Join a leading cosmetic manufacturing company in Waterlooville and play a key role in sourcing materials, negotiating contracts, and ensuring supply chain efficiency.

The Role

Take full ownership of the purchasing process, ensuring materials are sourced and delivered on time.

Manage supplier relationships, negotiating competitive terms and pricing.

Solve supply chain challenges, ensuring smooth operations across procurement, planning, and manufacturing.

Oversee supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.

Handle rejected deliveries, liaising with suppliers to resolve quality issues.

Work with third-party freight forwarders to manage shipments and prevent delays.

Utilise ERP systems (Winman) to track and manage procurement processes.

Support the Purchasing Manager with forward planning and process improvements.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years' experience in a Purchasing/Procurement role within Manufacturing (ideally cosmetics).

CIPS qualification (completed or in progress) or other relevant purchasing qualifications.

Experience with ERP systems (Winman preferred).

Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Confident communicator, able to challenge suppliers professionally.
