Recruit4Staff are pleased to be representing their client, a leading Manufacturing company in their search for a Senior Buyer to work in their expanding facility in Telford.

For the successful Senior Buyer our client is offering:

1. The starting salary is negotiable depending on experience
2. Days based role 8:30am - 5:15pm with a 4:15pm finish on Fridays
3. Permanent position
4. Free on site parking
5. EV charging scheme
6. 25 days holiday + bank holidays
7. Pension scheme
8. This position is fully Office based and will not involve Hybrid working

The Role - Senior Buyer:

1. Strategic sourcing of materials, management procurement processes and optimizing cost without compromising on quality
2. Participate in developing and executing procurement strategies for the Group
3. Negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers to secure advantageous terms
4. Ensuring timely delivery of materials and services from vendors
5. Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
6. Conducting spend analysis and market research to stay updated on spend development and match with industry
7. Assess, manage, and mitigate risks associated with supply contracts and agreements
8. Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
9. Forecast price and market trends to identify changes in buyer-supplier power
10. Find and implement new suppliers
11. Develop and implement best practices and innovations to improve efficiency and effectiveness of procurement processes
12. Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders

What our client is looking for in a Senior Buyer:

1. Demonstrates 5+ years working in a Senior Buying role
2. Experienced working within a fast paced Manufacturing/Engineering based business
3. Additional certification is highly advantageous (CPP or CPSM)
4. Strong negotiation skills
5. Able to handle complex procurement tasks
