As a Senior Procurement Professional, you’ll drive strategic procurement, manage supplier performance, and optimize supply chains. Collaborating globally, you’ll align with JM’s Procurement Excellence strategy, supporting sustainability and a cleaner future.


The role:

As a Senior Buyer, you will help drive our goals by:

  1. Drive Procurement Excellence by aligning with JM values and leading the One Procurement Community (OPC).
  2. Lead category development and improvement, optimizing supply, commercial agility, and sustainable value to support profitability.
  3. Research suppliers and industry trends to inform procurement decisions and enhance group insights.
  4. Negotiate contracts for defined spend categories, ensuring compliance with agreements, discounts, and rebates.
  5. Manage supplier relationships and build a comprehensive understanding of supply chains and market intelligence.
  6. Execute category strategies and support stakeholder commitment, ensuring effective implementation and business improvement.
Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:
  1. Procurement Expertise: 5+ years of experience, preferably in Indirect procurement categories.
  2. Category & Supplier Management: Strong knowledge of category management, sourcing, contract management, and supplier performance.
  3. Cross-Cultural & Remote Collaboration: Ability to work effectively across cultures, geographies, and time zones, managing remote stakeholders and teams.
  4. Contract Negotiation: Experienced in negotiating contracts across technical, commercial, and legal areas.
  5. Interpersonal & Leadership: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to champion the vision of Procurement.
  6. Multitasking & Prioritization: Skilled in prioritizing multiple tasks, managing workloads, and communicating effectively.
  7. Cost & Strategy Balance: Ability to balance total cost of ownership (TCO) with both strategic and tactical delivery.
