Senior Buyer

This position requires a results-driven Senior Buyer who can effectively manage the procurement and supply chain processes within the industrial / manufacturing industry. The role is based in Liverpool, and the individual will be an integral part of the procurement and supply chain team.

Description

1. Implement & develop effective procurement strategies
2. Manage the buying for multiple sites, in-line with forecasted demand
3. Manage Weekly/Monthly inventory reports to inform the site and board of current position
4. Identify cost-saving opportunities in the supply chain
5. Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure optimal terms
6. Ensure the quality of products and services from suppliers
7. Manage supplier NCRs where applicable
8. Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain business continuity and improve pricing
9. Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand and manage inventory
10. Oversee risk management in the supply chain across the group
11. Champion and drive the group vision on our path to excellence
12. Support team members with development and growth

Profile
A successful 'Senior Buyer' should have:

1. Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management
2. Proven experience in the management and utilisation of inventory reporting
3. Strong knowledge of the manufacturing sector (MOMs & BOMs)
4. Exceptional negotiation skills and a strategic mindset
5. Proficiency in risk management and market dynamics
6. Excellent communication and leadership skills
7. Excellent Excel skills

Job Offer
An estimated salary range of £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
