About the opportunity:

1. Reporting to the Commercial Director
2. Manage procurement costs for the division.
3. Ensure compliance with group purchasing arrangements.
4. Collect rebates and manage material budgets.
5. Ensure competitive procurement of materials and plant based on project specifications.
6. Administer and monitor material rebate claims.
7. Monitor supplier performance.
8. Prepare contract material budgets and track progress.
9. Issue tender enquiries and analyse quotations.
10. Prepare material take-off from contract drawings.
11. Develop material schedules on Excel for supplier and site use.
12. Generate and issue purchase orders.
13. Implement waste management systems on sites through order issuance.
14. Compile and submit statistical analysis as required.

About the benefits and rewards:

The salary will be dependent on the level of exposure to the residential industry. The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary in the region of up to £60k DOE. In addition to the basic salary there will be further company benefits.

About the requirements:

1. Previous experience in a Buying role, with knowledge of take-offs, schedules, and budgets.
2. Valid CSCS card or equivalent.
3. GCSE English and Mathematics (grade A-C/4+ or equivalent).
4. Strong communication, listening, and attention to detail skills.
5. Proficient in MS Word and Excel, with the ability to learn new systems.
6. Able to work independently and as part of a team, meeting deadlines under pressure and communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
