Description
Senior Buyer's Key responsibilities are to:
- Support my client in Oxfordshire with their strategic negotiations and contracts to reduce risk and create value
- Manage own allocated categories and associated suppliers, including tracking of their performance
- Look into cost saving initiatives
- Work with the Purchasing Manager, and other procurement teams and suppliers to deliver cost out initiatives and projects across the sites
- Identify, manage and deliver a pipeline of cost reduction and sustainability initiatives with site Procurement and Operational team
Profile
To be successful in this Senior Buyer - Oxfordshire role you must:
- Have experience in fast paced manufacturing environments (ideally FMCG and food is a bonus)
- Be a go getter, they need someone who is willing to challenge the norm in a constructive way
- Have experience of strategic procurement ideally working with global suppliers (UK,EU,Far East, America)
- Be able to take at interview stage your procurement career in depth and the challenges faced
- Discuss your procurement project work including cost savings and achievements made
