About the opportunity:

  • Reporting to the Commercial Director
  • Manage procurement costs for the division.
  • Ensure compliance with group purchasing arrangements.
  • Collect rebates and manage material budgets.
  • Ensure competitive procurement of materials and plant based on project specifications.
  • Administer and monitor material rebate claims.
  • Monitor supplier performance.
  • Prepare contract material budgets and track progress.
  • Issue tender enquiries and analyse quotations.
  • Prepare material take-off from contract drawings.
  • Develop material schedules on Excel for supplier and site use.
  • Generate and issue purchase orders.
  • Implement waste management systems on sites through order issuance.
  • Compile and submit statistical analysis as required.

About the benefits and rewards:

The salary will be dependent on the level of exposure to the residential industry. The company offers excellent opportunities and a basic salary in the region of up to £70k DOE. In addition to the basic salary, there will be further company benefits.

About the requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Buying role, with knowledge of take-offs, schedules, and budgets.
  • Valid CSCS card or equivalent.
  • GCSE English and Mathematics (grade A-C/4+ or equivalent).
  • Strong communication, listening, and attention to detail skills.
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel, with the ability to learn new systems.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, meeting deadlines under pressure and communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
