HCRG Care Group are looking for an experienced Senior Business Development Manager who will drive forward our business development and growth!

Generating new business is critical to the success of HCRG Care Group and our Business Development Team performs a key role in achieving organisational growth. As Senior Business Development Manager, you will proactively lead the Business Development Team to write and produce high quality and persuasive content for tenders, business proposals and other work-winning submissions. You will drive our business growth strategies and play a pivotal role in showcasing HCRG Care Group as the provider of choice to commissioning organisations including local authorities, NHS ICBs, NHS England, NHS provider trusts, and others.

You will lead on multiple and concurrent bid responses ensuring timely responses and submissions showcase HCRG Care Group’s innovative ways of working and USPs, running as golden threads throughout our content.

We are looking for someone who is a dynamic leader, highly conscientious and ideally has experience in using AI to help revolutionise our process of building and maintaining AI libraries for bid generations.

This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours a week, though flexibility is required to accommodate competing pressures when meeting deadlines and submissions.

The role is remote but requires some travel for work when required.

Main Responsibilities
As a Senior Business Development Manager you will:

  1. Lead the existing bid team, to produce high-quality, compelling, and persuasive written content for bids, business proposals, and other work-winning submissions.
  2. Support with the Management of portal responses and bids submissions.
  3. Deliver business propositions that adhere fully to service specifications, HCRG best practice models and policies, and maximise scoring against set criteria.
  4. Ensure the various stages of the bidding and tender process are completed in line with HCRG Care Group’s Growth Governance Framework and within designated time scales.
  5. Lead the development and submission of multiple and concurrent market engagement questionnaires, bid responses and work-winning business cases.
  6. Attend and present proposals and solutions at dialogue and presentation meetings with key external contacts.
  7. Oversee the upkeep of the opportunity pipeline and research market trends, competitive landscapes, and potential opportunities in the health and care sector.
  8. Provide market insights to guide strategy and bid decisions.
  9. Monitor policy changes that impact public sector procurement.
  10. Use AI generated content to revolutionise content.
  11. Build and maintain an AI library for bid generation.
  12. Possess a strong understanding of HCRG Care Group’s unique operational and transformational capabilities and products.
  13. Ability to understand complex service offers and ideas easily and quickly.
  14. Ability to convey difficult or complex ideas or concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
  15. Consult with Corporate and Operational SMEs to gather bid content.
  16. Ensure organisational USPs and win-themes are golden threads through each individual bid.
  17. Celebrate achievements by working with the Communications and Marketing Team.
  18. Support the operational teams to initiate the mobilisation of newly won business.

The Ideal Candidate
Proven ability to generate revenue through business growth within the health and care market. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to confidently pitch bid proposals, ideas and solutions to a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Experience writing content for tenders and business proposals. Excellent people skills including listening, negotiation, inspiration and persuasion. Experience in leading teams. Experience with business development and obtaining business intelligence. Demonstrable experience working with and maintaining AI technology. Possess resilience under pressure and experience of working in high-pressured deadline-driven environments. Possess a conscientious nature with a high attention to detail. Experience liaising and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent time-management skills. Willingness to travel for work when required. Detailed knowledge and experience of tendering processes and procurement portals.
