Albany Beck are hiring for a Senior Business Consultant with expertise in business case development and implementation strategies, to drive strategic transformation initiatives for one of our largest Global Investment Banking clients, in their security services division. This role will focus on improving business architecture governance, aligning operational processes with strategic objectives and ensuring seamless execution of key transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive business architecture strategy that provides strategic oversight across multiple product lines and initiatives.
• Establish clear accountability and ownership for business architecture across different initiatives.
• Drive the transition from operational efficiency-focused architecture to a more strategic, transformation-driven approach.
• Develop scalable governance frameworks that balance long-term strategy with urgent operational needs.
• Bridge the gap between high-level business architecture and execution-level business processes.

Key Focus Areas

• Provide business architecture support to high-priority projects.
• Align ongoing transformation initiatives with a strategic business perspective.
• Engage with project teams to ensure existing initiatives align with business objectives.
• Define a structured governance framework for business architecture across initiatives.
• Formalise roles, responsibilities, and governance processes for business architecture.
• Ensure governance enforces business value alignment beyond just technical execution.
• Develop business process frameworks that integrate with architecture governance.
• Ensure alignment of business capabilities across various projects and product lines.
• Bridge the gap between high-level business strategy and operational execution.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in business architecture, business consulting, or strategic transformation within financial services or security services.
• Strong background in business case development and implementation strategy.
• Experience in security services, including areas such as Direct Custody and Clearing, Global Custody, Fund Administration, and Middle Office.
• Experience in defining and implementing governance frameworks for business architecture.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and integrate business architecture across multiple product areas.
• Broad knowledge of security services without necessarily requiring deep domain-specific expertise.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage at all levels of the organisation.
• Ability to translate high-level strategy into execution-level business processes.
