Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our IT leadership team. The ideal candidate will act as the lead across our Business Analysis team in a matrix environment while actively being a bridge between business stakeholders and our technical teams, driving best practice, defining requirements, and ensuring the successful delivery of solutions to meet the business outcomes.
This role involves working across end-to-end business processes including eliciting requirements, creating user stories, and managing key stakeholders. Additionally, you will take on Project Coordination/Change Management responsibilities where appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Analysis Framework and Leadership of Communities of BA: Build best practice Business Analysis practices and drive development across the Business Analysis and Systems Analyst community, bringing common practices to our ways of working.
- Requirement Gathering and Analyzing: Gather and document business requirements across business solutions and applications, particularly focused on Microsoft, ERP, CRM, Web, and SaaS based. Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather user requirements, drive best practice, and challenge discussions while providing feedback.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and technical stakeholders, ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Documentation and Analysis: Create detailed documentation including user stories, use cases, process flows, and functional specifications. Analyze and map business processes to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with product owners, developers, designers, and QA teams to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly. Work with the development team to ensure that configurations and customizations meet business needs.
- Quality Assurance: Assist in the development of test plans and test cases to ensure that the solutions meet business requirements.
- Project Coordination: Coordinate project activities, resources, and timelines to ensure successful project delivery, mostly for small to mid-size change initiatives.
Qualifications
- Experience and Skills: Proven extensive experience as a Senior Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst in complex platform environments, ideally in a platform-based business with Contact to Cash and Finance background. Leadership experience in Business Analysis, Systems Platforms, or major programme delivery in a Business Analysis capacity. Extensive experience and understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in creating user stories, use cases, process flows, and functional communication. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively at all levels of the organisation.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise across ERP implementations (or equivalent) acting as senior or lead BA. Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and other project management tools. Exposure to IFS Cloud platforms would be ideal but not essential.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant Business Analysis certifications such as CCBA, Agile BA.
