Senior Building Surveyor

About the role: JC+P Property and Construction Consultants provide a full range of building surveying, cost consultancy and principal designer services throughout the UK and across all sectors of the built environment. We are seeking a Senior / Associate Building Surveyor to join our thriving team, working on a range of exciting and challenging projects.

As part of our Building Surveying team, you will play a pivotal role within a growing, multidisciplinary team of professionals. We operate across a diverse range of sectors including Education, Residential, Commercial and Leisure, with projects ranging from small repair schemes to new build developments.

In this role you will be responsible for delivering a full range of Building Surveying services, taking ownership of projects from inception to completion. You will also play a key part in developing the team, mentoring surveyors and sharing your expertise to shape the future of the business. This is the perfect role for an experienced BS looking to advance their career and take it to the next level.

Responsibilities:

• Taking projects from inception through to completion.
• Preparation of designs for a variety of project types.
• Contract administration.
• Building surveys and defects analysis.
• Experience in all aspects of the professional side of BS, including dilapidations, schedules of condition, pre-acquisition surveys, etc.

Requirements:

• A degree in Surveying.
• MRICS qualified.
• Successful track record of leading projects from inception to completion.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft packages and Auto-CAD software.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with clients and team members.
• A valid driving licence is required for site visits.
