Senior Biomedical Engineer

The role includes:
- Provision of daily on-site repair, preventative maintenance and asset management of medical devices within specified hospital locations.
- Work with and support the site/team leader in achieving contract KPIs.
- Complete all associated administrative work in completing repairs and preventative maintenance as outlined in company procedures.
- Support customers whenever needed to ensure minimal disruption to the operation of the hospital.
- Build long-term relationships with customers, subcontractors and staff to ensure responsiveness and support.
Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) on medical equipment as per manufacturer's guidelines.
- Complete repairs as required on medical equipment as per manufacturer's guidelines.
- Complete associated admin needed to close repairs and PMs as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures.
- Travel to various sites as required to perform Corrective and Preventive Maintenance.
- Assist Junior Biomed Engineer whenever required.
- Maintain spare part stock wherever necessary.
Additional duties:
- Scheduling and completing workload for assigned customers within area.
- Maintaining service documentation in line with business requirements.
- Responsible for escalating and defining necessary resources to maintain equipment.
- Liaise with 3rd party suppliers for spare part and contract quotations.
- Deal with OEM's service staff and management when required.
What you will need:
- Certified OEM training.
- UK Degree in Biomedical engineering, electronics or medical technologies such as biomedical engineering.
- 3-5 years in UK biomedical setting.
- Experience with Patient monitoring, diathermies (electro surgery units), theatre tables, defibrillators, infusion & volumetric devices, Anaesthesia equipment, ventilation devices.
- Has worked in clinical areas and involving patient communication.
- Competent with a broad range of medical devices.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
