Senior Biomedical Engineer

Have you got over 5 years experience as a biomedical engineer in the UK?
Then this job could be for you!

The role includes:

• Provision of daily on-site repair, preventative maintenance and asset management of medical devices within specified hospital locations.
• Work with and support the site/team leader in achieving contract KPIs.
• Complete all associated administrative work in completing repairs and preventative maintenance as outlined in company procedures.
• Support customers whenever needed to ensure minimal disruption to the operation of the hospital.
• Build long-term relationships with customers, subcontractors and staff to ensure responsiveness and support.

Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) on medical equipment as per manufacturer's guidelines.
• Complete repairs as required on medical equipment as per manufacturer's guidelines.
• Complete associated admin needed to close repairs and PMs as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures.
• Travel to various sites as required to perform Corrective and Preventive Maintenance.
• Assist Junior Biomed Engineer whenever required.
• Maintain spare part stock wherever necessary.

Additional duties:

• Scheduling and completing workload for assigned customers within area.
• Maintaining service documentation in line with business requirements.
• Responsible for escalating and defining necessary resources to maintain equipment.
• Liaise with 3rd party suppliers for spare part and contract quotations.
• Deal with OEM's service staff and management when required.

What you will need:

• Certified OEM training.
• UK Degree in Biomedical engineering, electronics or medical technologies such as biomedical engineering.
• 3-5 years in UK biomedical setting.
• Experience with Patient monitoring, diathermies (electro surgery units), theatre tables, defibrillators, infusion & volumetric devices, Anaesthesia equipment, ventilation devices.
• Has worked in clinical areas and involving patient communication.
• Competent with a broad range of medical devices.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
