A top tier international firm is looking for a Banking Lawyer with 5 to 10 years PQE to join their market-leading team in Belfast. The team is renowned for the quality and speed of their advice, their innovative thinking, and strong grasp of commercial issues and are looking for like-minded individuals to join them.

The team advises a wide range of funders and borrowers on a broad range of financing transactions, both bilateral and syndicated. They act for all the UK clearing banks, a number of European and investment banks, independent financiers, and investment funds on all types of facilities across asset-based lending, receivables finance, and more mainstream corporate, leveraged, and real estate finance.

The wider structured finance team also advises on securitisation and debt capital markets transactions, some of which the successful candidate will have an opportunity to be involved in should they wish to get involved. They also act for many borrowers, from listed companies to small enterprises, on their financings.

The practice is broad and varied, meaning the successful candidate will experience excellent quality work within the asset-based lending team.

Candidate Requirements:
  1. Qualified Solicitor with 5-10 years PQE.
  2. A "can-do" attitude and willingness to work with colleagues and partners collaboratively and enthusiastically in the national structured finance practice, and other senior lawyers in that group, on both transactions and practice development.
  3. Ideally experience with invoice finance, receivables financing, or asset-based lending experience.
  4. Knowledge of more general banking/LMA work is also essential.
  5. Experience gained within a large regional or national practice.
  6. Strong interpersonal skills necessary for this client-facing role.
  7. A proven team player with a strong client-focused approach.
  8. Commercially aware and enthusiastic about business development.
  9. Strong academic background.

The firm can offer you a competitive package and salary from c.£75k upwards depending on experience, as well as hybrid working.
