We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our growing team.

You will be responsible for leading the entire software development lifecycle - from designing and developing to testing and deploying software solutions.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll help create scalable and robust solutions that power NuWealth's platform.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work on high-impact features, optimise backend performance, and shape the architecture that supports the company's growth.

About You

Required Skills and Experience

  • 8+ years of experience with PHP/Laravel.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services.
  • 2+ years of experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
  • Strong experience in backend development.
  • Proficient in cloud architecture.
  • Proficiency in using GitHub for version control and Docker for containerization.
  • Experience working in agile environments and participating in all stages of development.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote setting.
  • A proactive, positive attitude with a passion for continuous learning.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work well under pressure.
Preferred but not essential
  • Experience leading projects or teams.
  • Prior experience in the fintech sector.
  • Familiarity with security and data protection best practices, especially in financial services.
