About this opportunity:

We are looking to recruit a Senior Auditor for a six-month position (with potential to extend and possible opportunities for future permanent roles). The key deliverable will be undertaking risk-based audit reviews, assessing the internal controls and risk management in place for the area under review.

This will entail completion of relevant working papers and preparing a written report of findings, as well as communicating findings to audit clients, with management training and supervision to be provided throughout the audit process. You should have an inquisitive, independent mind, with excellent communication skills, particularly through formal reporting writing, as well as demonstrating the values of a professional internal auditor and those of Cumberland Council.

This role includes consideration towards both remote working and part-time opportunities and can also be considered as a secondment opportunity for internal candidates.
