Job description

A top accounting firm is looking for a Senior Manager to help spearhead the growth of the audit team based out of the Leeds office. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Manager or new Senior Manager to establish themselves as a divisional leader. It is an ambitious offering for a motivated and career-driven leader, with the remit spread across building and running a team alongside developing prospective business.

There is great variety in the clients being serviced by the team, from large and complex listed engagements to smaller, owner-managed businesses. The sectors are also spread across retail, manufacturing, technology, and hospitality, amongst other non-financial services industries.

Main responsibilities for the role:
  1. Effective day-to-day team management, reviewing work and acting as an approachable team leader
  2. Service a dynamic client portfolio to the high quality and timely delivery expected of the firm
  3. Identify and prospect new work for the business through effective networking, tendering, and pitches
  4. Act as a key client point of contact to provide sound financial and technical advice
  5. Help with the continual growth of the audit team, including screening and training junior staff
  6. Special project/ad hoc work as required
Requirements:
  1. ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent
  2. Significant, demonstrable experience managing an audit team within a practice environment
  3. Business development experience with a track record of involvement in winning new clients
  4. UK-based audit experience working on a range of non-financial services clients, at least some of which must have been listed entities
  5. Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
