About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Chartered Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in Manchester. The ideal candidate will have a strong and comprehensive understanding of the full range of quantity surveying services. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to significant projects, including façade remediation, while playing a crucial role in our continued growth in the Manchester and North West market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quantity Surveying: Provide expert advice and management across all aspects of quantity surveying, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to clients.
  • Employer’s Agent/Contract Administration: Effectively undertake Employer’s Agent and Contract Administration duties, managing projects from inception through to completion.
  • Façade Remediation Projects: Assist with and lead on façade remediation projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Business Development: Utilize your local market knowledge and commercial contacts to support business development efforts, contributing to the growth and success of the business.
  • IT and Communication: Demonstrate strong IT skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues and clients to achieve project objectives and exceed client expectations.

Key Requirements:

  • Chartered Status: Must be a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, ideally up to senior level.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the quantity surveying field, with a strong record across the entire discipline.
  • PQS Environment: Extensive experience or familiarity with working in a PQS environment is essential.
  • Local Knowledge: A solid understanding of the Manchester/North West market is essential, along with existing commercial contacts in the area.
  • Location: Ideally, you will be local to or have easy access to Manchester.
