The Role

As a Senior Architectural Technologist/Technician, you will take the lead on multiple projects, supporting the design team in producing high-quality planning and working drawings. You'll also manage three team members while working on a variety of house and apartment developments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead projects and assist in preparing planning and working drawings with precision and efficiency
2. Amend standard house-type working drawings and create bespoke apartment block designs
3. Prepare site technical layouts, ensuring accuracy for planning and legal conveyance purposes
4. Collaborate with external consultants and clients to deliver fully coordinated schemes
5. Provide technical detailing expertise to prevent delays and ensure smooth project execution
6. Mentor and support junior team members, fostering their professional development

What You'll Need

1. Proficiency in AutoCAD Architecture 2025 & MS Office 365
2. Strong knowledge of current Building Regulations - Future Homes Standards a bonus
3. Understanding of M4(2), M4(3), NDSS requirements, and Part B (fire safety) for apartment blocks
4. Proven experience (5+ years) in volume housebuilding
5. Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage a team effectively
6. Ability to work methodically and use initiative to drive projects forward
7. A team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach
