We are recruiting a Senior Architect for a multi award winning, medium sized architectural practice based in York. The Senior Architect will play a major role in the design and delivery of the studio's highest profile projects.

The Studio

Being one of York's largest and best established architectural studios, with other studios across the UK, this studio works on some incredible projects. In addition to incredibly well designed, contextually sensitive existing building work one would expect in a historic city like York, the studio is working on some excellent new build projects across the wider Yorkshire region, as well as in London across residential, civic, hospitality and public sectors.

This studio has low staff turnover, a great track record of promoting internally and this role is a new position being hired for due to the studio growing.

The Skills

This role will suit the sort of architect who loves sketching and getting stuck into early stage designs.

• Experience as a Senior Architect or Project Architect
• ARB registration is a benefit but not required
• Confident at design and pre-planning
• Strong design ability is essential
• Heritage experience would be a benefit but is not essential
• Revit and/or AutoCAD experience (Revit can be trained)
• Ability to be client facing

Salary/package

• £45,000 - £55,000 + Bonus
• Private medical insurance
• Lunchtime finish on Friday
