Job Description

Senior Analyst - Private Equity

• Engage in all facets of private equity co-investments and direct investments, including sourcing, assessing, executing, and managing portfolios.
• Primary duties include conducting financial analysis, due diligence, preparing investment materials, analyzing sectors, and monitoring post-investment performance.
• Financial analysis involves tasks like financial modeling (reviewing sponsor models, building models, performing sensitivity analyses, reviewing debt covenants, etc.).
• Operational analysis includes examining customer demand drivers, sales and profit composition, market positioning, customer profiles, operational efficiencies, cost structures, and real asset holdings, management, and ownership.
• Due diligence tasks involve reviewing transaction documents and reports (commercial, financial, operational, legal, etc.), evaluating target companies, analyzing sector dynamics, market trends, strategic positioning, financial health, operational capabilities, management quality, and more.
• Collaborate with the deal team to identify and assess sectors, themes, and companies, offering differentiated investment ideas and strategies to enhance private equity performance.
• Assist in managing portfolio companies by tracking performance, preparing KPIs/dashboards, and advising on strategic and operational areas of focus.
• Keep updated on market conditions and conduct research on political, macroeconomic, sectoral, and thematic developments affecting portfolio companies, proactively providing recommendations to safeguard the portfolio.

The Successful Applicant

• 1-2 years of relevant professional experience.
• Previous experience should be from either the buy-side (private equity firms, asset allocators) or sell-side (investment banking, corporate finance, transaction advisory services, accounting firms).
• Proven success in identifying, evaluating, and executing direct private equity investment opportunities (co-investments and direct investments).
• Strong knowledge and understanding of global financial markets, with the ability to form and contribute to decision-making within a team setting.
• A deep understanding of the global private equity landscape.
• Experience working in a highly institutionalized investment or advisory firm.
• A distinctive investment philosophy focused on risk management.
