Job Description:

We are currently looking for a passionate, driven and energetic Senior Analyst to support our metals Consulting practice and our Battery Materials service in particular.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent analyst and will thrive in a fast-paced environment. They will be process-oriented and have a keen eye for detail. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to continue developing their career in battery materials analysis.

The successful candidate will work on a range of battery materials market research topics and will take ownership of key components of the service, working alongside analysts in the team that will support data development, modelling and analysis.

This position requires an existing knowledge of the global battery materials industry and would suit a candidate with direct experience of working in the sector. The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to maintaining detailed data sets, monitor developments across all products and geographies, perform research and analysis into market issues and developments, and prepare forecasts of battery materials supply/demand and pricing. The candidate should be confident in communicating the resulting analysis and forecasts to subscribers and to other stakeholders within Argus.

The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate good modelling capabilities, strong writing skills and the ability to prepare and deliver presentations in person and via electronic platforms. The role requires the candidate to have the confidence and knowledge to help drive internal discussion and analysis of markets and so help in generating the themes and conclusions for delivery to subscribers. They will also be process-oriented and have a keen eye for detail.

What we’re looking for in you?
  • Graduate/Masters degree from a top tier university
  • Direct experience of the battery materials market
  • Highly numerate with experience analysing data quickly and meticulously
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy focus
  • Intellectually curious. Able to demonstrate structured problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong IT skills including advanced Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks to deadline and to meet targets
  • Flexible in approach, highly motivated and committed to contributing to the growth of Argus’ Consulting Services
