Our client, a specialist shipper of fine art antiques and other unique items, is seeking an experienced Senior Air Freight Operator to join their team in Middlesex.

The role of the Senior Air Freight Operator is to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations.
You will be arranging the transport of collections and deliveries with customers and assisting with the loading/unloading of vehicles when required.

On a day-to-day basis, you will be overseeing the delivery/collection of cargo, completing export and import customs entries, and keeping track of the status of shipments.

Main duties of the Senior Air Freight Operator:

• Book shipments with various GSA/Airlines.
• Deal with Export Licence Applications.
• Manage customer relationships and liaise with overseas agents on a daily basis.
• Liaise with numerous authorities to obtain paperwork and licences for the transport of goods.
• Handle passenger clearances by meeting with clients face-to-face at airports.
• Complete airway bills and other shipping documentation.
• Deal with customer quotations and invoices.
• Resolve any issues or queries that may arise.

The successful Senior Air Freight Operator will have strong knowledge/experience of Air Freight operations and ideally be dangerous goods trained (by air).

You will need to have previous experience working within a Fine Art Transport or Warehouse environment in a managerial position, as well as strong knowledge of Imports and Exports.

Experience required:

• Must have a full clean driving licence.
• IT literate – can confidently use Outlook, Word, Excel, and ASM Sequoia.
• Excellent English - both written and verbal.
