You'll be responsible for:
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Review and approval of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Reconciliation trial balance.
- Review age creditors report.
- Ensuring billing events and generation of invoices are completed as per key performance indicators (KPI's).
- Ensuring customer account details are kept up to date.
- Managing relationship with supply chain.
- Ensuring that end to end process is efficient and looking at changes or enhancements where applicable.
- Providing training to new staff on billings and accounts receivable and ensuring they understand the full process.
- Ensuring receipts are allocated daily and assigned correctly.
- Ensuring month end process is completed on time and communicated with respective finance managers.
- Managing reconciliation, monitoring and control of Account Receivable accounts including reconciliation of sub ledger to general ledger.
- Ensuring the cash collections are timely and routine.
- Ensuring that customer statements are issued.
- Ensuring debtors report and other ad hoc reports are issued correctly and on time.
- Maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
- Managing & providing leadership to a team of managers and professionals, ensuring the principles, structures, tools/capabilities and responsibilities are in place to deliver area plans and deliver excellence.
- Providing performance management, technical development and coaching.
- Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
You'll need to have:
- Strong accounting background.
- Balance sheet reconciliation experience.
- Line management experience.
- Good IT and Excel skills.
- Strong knowledge of transactional accounting and closing processes.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to deal with all levels of the business.
- Conscientious and articulate.
- Excellent numeracy skills and ability to deal with a high volume of transactions.
- Excellent communication skills and a team player.
- Able to work under self-direction and able to prioritise.
- Acts inclusively, treats all people with respect in a fair and consistent manner.
- Takes ownership to identify, solve and overcome challenges.
- Leads by example and delivers on commitments.
- GCSE's Grade A-C must include English & Maths (or equivalent).
- Experience within a similar position.
You'll also have:
- Advanced IT and Excel skills.
- Experience of Oracle.
- ICM or diploma in credit management (or equivalent).
