This presents an excellent opportunity for a motivated and strategic thinker to assume a critical role within the organization.   • This role represents the opportunity to help build and shape the future of our Accounting & Controllership department. This person will work with all members of the department and help solve issues to create true value for the company.

About This Role:

  • We are seeking a high potential, results-oriented Senior Accountant to perform financial and cost accounting activities. This position will oversee accounting activities for the Commercial Fire Americas Segment, including but not limited to: general accounting processes such as inter-company, freight accruals, consolidation of monthly reporting deliverables and review of balance sheet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing and documenting accounting policies, procedures, control processes, and financials.
  • Candidate must possess strong analytical skills and ability to change direction and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks on a regular basis.
  • Manages and analyzes activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards to control financial resources and compliance with regulations, laws, and reporting activities.
  • Prepares, examines, and conforms to procedures for general ledger preparation and project and/or government accounting activities.
  • Performs monthly and quarterly close and consolidation processes to ensure timely completion and accuracy.
  • Develops and documents accounting policies, procedures, control processes, and financials.
  • Analyzes business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations in order to accurately represent financial standing.
  • Supports internal and external audits for process compliance and timely completion.
  • Leads small scale projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business.
  • 3+ years of accounting and/or finance experience.
  • Must be a US Citizen or a Green Card Holder.
  • Onsite Role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA, CPA/CMA.
  • Master’s Degree.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Hyperion Financial Management system knowledge a plus.

  • Practical to substantial knowledge of Carrier organization, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.
  • University Degree or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience OR an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years experience.
