About This Role:
- We are seeking a high potential, results-oriented Senior Accountant to perform financial and cost accounting activities. This position will oversee accounting activities for the Commercial Fire Americas Segment, including but not limited to: general accounting processes such as inter-company, freight accruals, consolidation of monthly reporting deliverables and review of balance sheet.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing and documenting accounting policies, procedures, control processes, and financials.
- Candidate must possess strong analytical skills and ability to change direction and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks on a regular basis.
- Manages and analyzes activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards to control financial resources and compliance with regulations, laws, and reporting activities.
- Prepares, examines, and conforms to procedures for general ledger preparation and project and/or government accounting activities.
- Performs monthly and quarterly close and consolidation processes to ensure timely completion and accuracy.
- Develops and documents accounting policies, procedures, control processes, and financials.
- Analyzes business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations in order to accurately represent financial standing.
- Supports internal and external audits for process compliance and timely completion.
- Leads small scale projects.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business.
- 3+ years of accounting and/or finance experience.
- Must be a US Citizen or a Green Card Holder.
- Onsite Role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA, CPA/CMA.
- Master’s Degree.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Acute attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Hyperion Financial Management system knowledge a plus.

Minimum Requirements:
- Requires advanced knowledge obtained through a University degree, combined with experience.
- Practical to substantial knowledge of Carrier organization, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.
- University Degree or equivalent.
- A minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience OR an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years experience.
