Job description

Staff 86 | 86 Group are working with a very well-established Accountancy Practice who have an exceptional reputation, and this is proven with their extremely high and long-lasting client retention. Due to continued success, they are extremely busy and are looking to welcome new team members. They are based close to Whitchurch and are easily commutable from Wrexham, Chester, Nantwich and surrounding areas.


Job Title:

Senior Accountant

Salary:

In the region of £36k to £42k DOE

Working Hours:

37.5 hour working week

Holidays:

25 days holiday plus bank holidays

Overview of the role:
  1. Preparing and reviewing financial accounts and tax returns for limited companies and sole traders.
  2. Managing client relationships and providing advice.
  3. Supporting junior team members.
  4. Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  5. Supporting audits.
  6. Identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
  7. Delivering a high-quality service to clients.

Required skills and experience:
  1. At least 3 years of experience working in an accountancy practice - essential.
  2. Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
  3. Excellent working knowledge of MS Office - essential.
  4. Experience of working with Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, and CCH would be highly desirable.
