An excellent, well-resourced secondary school in Uxbridge is looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant. You may have worked as a support worker, in-class support worker, or a Learning Support Advisor previously. You may have a related qualification or the ability to demonstrate relevant experience. You would be able to support children with a range of special educational needs including learning disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), sensory, speech and language impairments, and behavioural difficulties. The person selected for this role needs to be confident in handling challenging behaviour.
The school has great feedback from parents and supply staff. The staff team is supportive and welcoming. The school needs people who can commit to 5 days a week. If you are experienced and able to work full time, this can be reflected in your rate of pay. Hours are usually 8:30-15:30.
You will need to be confident in adapting the lesson activity according to the pupil's individual needs. The school requires staff to be competent in creating and maintaining a stimulating learning environment for the pupils to achieve and thrive.
The day is 7 hours including an unpaid 30-minute lunch break. Your daily rate of pay would be £90-100 but with a potential to earn more based on level of experience, including holiday pay.
Please note, if you do not have a Non-Voluntary Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, we will need to help you process a new one at a cost of £62.70. This will be refunded after 20 days of work with us.
