Teacher Active is proud to be working with various schools in Bournemouth, supporting with their recruitment for a SEND Teaching Assistants / Learning Support. All settings support children with varied diagnosis through 1:1 tutoring and alternative learning provisions.

Upholding a high standard of education, there is emphasis placed on the important provision of social, emotional, physical and mental health-centred programmes that help students to thrive and reach their full potential. We are looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant / Learning Support who can make a positive and lasting impact in the lives of individuals with Autism/ASD, ADHD, Moderate Learning Difficulties/MLD and Severe Learning Difficulties/SLD.

We are seeking organised and proactive individuals to take on this day-to-day role. Every day is different, filled with the opportunity to learn and grow. The successful candidates will bring a big smile, new perspective and skill set to this role. They will demonstrate an eagerness to develop their own skills to adapt to the pupils individual needs and have a positive impact on the schools.

Positions will involve working with students across Key Stage 1 and 2 with diagnosis of Autism / ASD, ADHD, and MLD / Moderate Learning Difficulties and Severe Learning Difficulties/SLD. Proactive thinkers with great organisation and the ability to take control of situations confidently is necessary.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistants will have:

• Experience working with children with additional needs / disabilities
• Experience working with students with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and challenging behaviours
• Level 2 or 3 CACHE or equivalent
• Team-Teach or MAPA qualifications desirable
