This is a role for someone who:

  • Stays calm and consistent, even under pressure
  • Can set boundaries with kindness and confidence
  • Understands that behaviour is communication
  • Is patient and creative in helping children develop language and communication skills
  • Feels comfortable supporting children 1:1 and in small groups
  • Is committed to being a steady, positive presence – every day

The following backgrounds and experience are highly valued:

  • Psychology, childhood studies, or education graduates
  • Experienced care workers or support workers
  • Those with a background in residential care, youth work, or social work
  • Individuals with experience supporting people with autism, ADHD, or speech and language needs
  • People with personal or voluntary experience supporting individuals with SEND

You’ll work closely with school staff, SENCOs, and external specialists to ensure each child receives the tailored support they need to thrive.

  • Ongoing CPD and specialist training opportunities
  • A dedicated consultant who understands your strengths and goals
  • Opportunities that match your background and career ambitions
  • The chance to truly make a lasting impact on the lives of children who need it most
