Sports & Health Specialist School

A SENCO is needed in a Mixed Secondary School & Sixth Form in South East London.

This SENCO position will be full time and permanent.

If appointed as a SENCO, your duties will include but not be limited to:

1. Ensuring the school's practice is compliant with the SEND Code of Practice (2014) and other relevant statutory requirements
2. Working with other members of SLT to enhance the culture of the school
3. Maintaining provisions for the SEN department
4. Monitoring and tracking the progress of SEN pupils
5. Directing SEN staff based on specific needs of each pupil

The salary for this SENCO position will be between 40000 and 57000, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant.

Sports & Health is the school's specialism, with a lot of importance placed on Physical, Mental and Social Wellbeing. Sports competitions at the school are a staple, with the main games being for Football, Badminton, Handball, Netball, Basketball and Cricket. Requirements

You're encouraged to apply if you're an experienced Teacher or experienced SENCO. Applications are also welcome if you're a British trained SENCO or overseas trained SENCO. All applicants must have the following in order to be considered for this position as a SENCO:

1. Right to work in the UK
2. UK QTS or an overseas equivalent
3. Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
4. Experience of working as an English Teacher or SENCO in UK Secondary schools
